Isabel Babenschneider grew up near Stuttgart, Germany. While doing her Masters in Education, Business Economics and German Literature/Linguistics at the University of Stuttgart, she developed a great interest in intercultural relations and development work.

In 2007, Isabel moved to Cape Town to work for the well-known organisation South African Education and Environment Project (SAEP) until March 2011. In her position as Early Childhood Development (ECD) Programme Manager, she was in charge of programme management, fundraising and PR as well as training, coaching and mentoring of ECD centre staff, SAEP volunteers and interns. Isabel now serves on the Management Committee of SAEP.

In her spare time, Isabel is a passionate dancer and enjoys spending time outdoors. She also volunteers as Counsellor for LifeLine/ChildLine, Western Cape, giving back to the community and the people.

In April 2011, Isabel joined the PSP as Fundraiser and has since been involved in the Strategic Planning of the PSP as well as in setting up new fundraising initiatives and processes.
