Donald CampbellChairperson
Back to Board of trustees
Born at Claremont, Cape Town in 1932 and educated at W P Preparatory School and Diocesan College (Bishops), Donald went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant (SA).
Most of his business career was spent with Plessey SA Ltd and Murray & Roberts Ltd, concentrating mainly on line management of operating subsidiaries, mergers and acquisitions, and managing The D G Murray Trust.

During and after his school years, he was very active in a number of sports including cricket, rugby, squash, target shooting, golf, angling, surfing and dinghy sailing. He is still a keen and active golfer and hiker and he continues to pursue his lifelong hobby of photography.
On his retirement in 1997, he continued as a Trustee of The D G Murray Trust, a charitable trust established by the late Douglas Murray, until mandatory retirement at the age of 75.
His experience with the Trust and the contact it gave him with a wide variety of NGO bodies have given him a special insight into the needs of the Primary Science Programme – where he has been serving as Trustee since 1999.
Donald is married to Pam, a retired nursing sister, and between them they have four children and eleven grandchildren.
